DALES- India Election Survey 2024
DALES - Indian Election Survey 2024 (IES 2024) is a nationwide survey that interviewed over 35,000 voters across 20 states in face-to-face interactions. This comprehensive effort aims to create a detailed portrait of the Indian electorate, exploring diverse areas such as electoral preferences, access to welfare, and political leadership.
State Capacity 2.0 – Delivering the Future
Action in India is shifting from the union to the states. Collectively, state governments now outspend the union government. By focusing on state-level governance, we aim to foster more effective and responsive administrations. Our current projects explore the conditions under which the Indian state effectively delivers goods and services to its people and the resources needed to enhance this process. We analyze issues like direct benefit transfers, pensions, and bureaucratic structures, blending rigorous analysis with practical insights to address the multifaceted challenges of state capacity. Our consultancy services offer tailored support to various levels of government, ensuring that policy innovations are effectively implemented. This approach leads to significant improvements in governance and administrative processes at both the national and state levels.
Data Fusion for Insightful Decision-Making
Our core competency lies in integrating and building unique datasets, including geospatial markers, to create comprehensive and user-friendly secondary datasets. These datasets combine spatial, political, and socio-economic information to provide a holistic view of various issues. We will continue to develop these software tools and make them available online, ensuring they are accessible and easy to use for all stakeholders. We aim to not only produce data but also utilize these datasets to answer critical questions and empower stakeholders to make informed decisions.
